SCOTT signs DH Phenom Luke Strobel for eyewear

We are proud to announce the signing of American downhill racer Luke Strobel for SCOTT Eyewear. The 21 year-old Issaquah, Washington native has only been racing World Cups for 18 months, but has performed very well, scoring top-20 finishes at each stop. Strobel is the top North American DH rider going into the 2008 season, ranked 29th in the UCI points. He races on the U.S.-based Maxxis Tires Gravity Team.

"My goals in this sport are pretty clear. I want to be a regular top-10 rider on the World Cup scene this year. I'm not too interested in the "top American" title. I really want to work my way to the top in this sport,” remarked Strobel. "I'm stoked to be running Scott Eyewear this season. It's a proven product, especially in the toughest of conditions, and that's important to any top-level rider seeking World Cup glory".
