Florian Vogel wins for the third time in series

Florian Vogel celebrated his third victory of the series at the Swisspower Cup in Muttenz, Switzerland. With this win, he becomes the second rider (Thomas Kalberer did it in 2002) in the 15 year history of the Swisspower Cup to accomplish a hat trick.

Frischi, who had just returned from the Cape Epic Race in South Africa, got into a good racing rhythm and finished sixth.

Over the next three weekends, World Cup races will take place in Houffalize (Belgium), Offenburg (Germany) and Madrid (Spain). These races will help decide various national team rosters for the upcoming 2008 Olympic Games.
