Frischi is Marathon World Champion!

Thomas Frischknecht rode a beautiful race; he was in the leading group from the beginning with Martinez, Brentjens, Dietsch and Bresser, and he concentrated all of his energy on the last downhill stretch in which he had the advantage of riding a full-suspension while all the others were on hardtails. In the end, Frischi beat Brentjens in the final sprint, with the power of a great champion!

Frischknecht was riding a brand new SCOTT Genius MC (Marathon Concept) the revolutionary full suspension bike with a three-position rear shock. Frischi closely collaborated with the SCOTT engineering team on the development of this bike, which took place over more than two years.

"I invested a lot of time with my bike partners SCOTT/ RITCHEY/ FOX and SRAM to build the perfect bike for these particular conditions, especially the new SCOTT Genius MC frame with the three-position remote controlled rear shock. With 125 mm of travle, it gave me the advantage that made the difference at the end."

SCOTT is proud of more great results at the World Champs with the woman's victory and 2nd place of Maja Wloszcowska and Magdalena Saldecka from SCOTT Poland (Lotto PZU team) and the 8th place of Jaqueline Mourao (SCOTT Brazil) and also the 8th place of Frédérique Frech (SCOTT Allianz CH) in the men's category.
