2nd place for Sven in Hamburg

This weekend's World Cup triathlon in Hamburg, Germany, at which 12 of the top 15 from the recent World Championships lined up at the start, was a high-class event. Sven Riederer managed an excellent start in the swimming portion. He started the bike leg in 39th position, together with Olivier Marceau, and pushed continually through the last lap, coming into the transition in second. On the tough running leg, only Javier Gomez (ESP, World NR. 4) managed to break away on one of the many attacks. He was followed by Sven and Brad Kahlefeldt (AUS, World number 2). Thanks to a sprint, which he started 500 meters before the finish, Sven managed to get a few seconds distance between himself and Brad and finally crossed the finish line in second place. After his third place last year and this year’s 2nd place, Sven is excited to compete at the World Championships next year, which will take place on the same course.
