Saunier Duval and SCOTT: An unshakable alliance

SCOTT is proud to announce the team that was formerly known as SAUNIER DUVAL-PRODIR is now SAUNIER DUVAL-SCOTT. The team will continue to be managed by Mauro Gianetti and Joxean Fernández "Matxin" for the 2008 season. SCOTT has been providing its innovative carbon bicycles to the Saunier Duval team since 2003. With this expanded sponsor role, SCOTT will cooperate more actively with the team on developing its’ other technologies in the bike category.

SCOTT Bicycles has supported the Saunier Duval team since its inception. SCOTT believes that working more closely with the cycling team will offer an opportunity for further improvement in it’s bicycle product. "We’ve made progress together, as the athletes´ valuable feedback is a key factor to the evolution of our revolutionary products. We’re happy we can develop further our already strong accessories and support the young riders recruited for next season.” said SCOTT Vice-President Pascal Ducrot. "We entirely trust Mauro Gianetti and his men, and we’ve done so since 2003, when he showed us his project." 

 


The athletes are going to have the Addict road frame as the weapon of choice during 2008’s demanding Pro Tour schedule. The Addict, at 790 grams, is the lightest frame available. Next year the SCOTT logo will be in a prominent position on the team´s jersey, which can be seen in the picture above, featuring Leonardo Piepoli, José Ángel Gómez Marchante, Juanjo Cobo and Riccardo Riccò.
