The racing was more exciting in the MX2 class, with the lead changing about six times! A very strong race was posted by Norwegian Kenneth Gundersen, who rode in the first moto to second place and to 6th place in the second moto.
Gundersen said,:
"It's been a really long time away, my knee was very badly injured, I had many surgeries and I always wanted to come back and finally all the hard work has paid off. My speed is not up to the top guys, but I feel fit and I tried to not make mistakes and be consistent I am not sure if MX2 is the best class for me, but it's best for me to build up and it's like learning again. The small class the level of the riders is not worse, but it's a little easier to race in. The team is very good, they support me in every way, and the Yamaha is a really good bike. For me this is one of the best teams for sure. I ad goals to try and finish top five, I will try and do that in all the races, I don't want to lift my goals because of today." (source mxlarge.com)

MX 3 (Castelnau de Levis, FRANCE)
Scott team rider Yves Demaria got off to a flying start by dominating the event. Marc Ristori also showed an impressive form and ended up in 3rd position overall.

Jacky Martens comments on Yves Demaria;"Yves is fantastic on hard-track, he is one of the most talented hardtrack-riders I know. He proved this once again this weekend by winning the qualifier and both races to win the GP.Sven has also improved his riding on hard surface because he gave Yves a pretty difficult time by scoring two holeshots and he constantly swapped positions with Yves during the race. Sven nailed a 2-3 score for 2nd for the day." (source mxlarge.com)
