Scott inks two-year deal with Josh Coppins

Scott Sports and MX1 GP star Josh Coppins have confirmed a two-year deal which will see the two-time co-world champion wearing Scott protective eyewear for 2007 and 2008. The Kiwi’s relationship with SCOTT has delivered four GP wins and countless podium results and National championships over a long standing relationship. After a year marred by injury, Coppins has returned to the podium and will be the man to beat in next year’s MX1 World championship.

“I’ve been with Scott for many years now and their product, race support and commitment to me has been great, so naturally I’m very happy to sign for a further two years. I look forward to bringing Scott some more championships,” stated Coppins.

Matt Lalloz, Scott's appointed Motorsport Racing Service & Promotions Manager (and also former GP racer) was excited about putting together the deal. “We are proud to have Josh Coppins on board with another two-year contract. He will ride for the Yamaha Rinaldi Team and with the top results from the past, Josh will definitely be one of the favourites for the 2007 and 2008 MX1 GP title. We appreciate Josh’s long time loyalty to our team and products. He is also a great resource for product development and his input has always been a great help to advance our off-road goggles such as our new Bevo Xi.”
