Pourcel Brothers Win at Italian GP

Faenza, Italy – The Italian GP brought wins to both Pourcel brothers this past weekend with Sebastien winning the MX1 and Christophe winning the MX2.

Sebastien rode remarkably well, winning both motos; the first of his career in MX1. After taking the holeshot, Mike Brown took the holeshot and tried to pull away, but Pourcel followed him closely, waiting for an open door to pass. Once he got the chance, Sabastien grabbed the lead and the checkered flag.
Josh Coppins also rode an incredible moto, recovering from almost fifteen back to finish 2nd, less than four seconds behind Sebastien Pourcel.

In the second moto, Sebastien ran in second place, following David Philippaerts until he was ready to pass. Once he moved up to first, Pourcel ran away with the lead to secure the win. Coppins, again, came in just behind Pourcel for a 2-2 finish and 2nd overall.

In MX2 action, Sebastien’s brother, Christophe, went 2-1 for a strong overall win over Antonio Cairoli. Decent starts and strong, consistent riding proved to be Christophe’ keys to victory.

Scott Motorsports congratulates the Pourcels and Josh Coppins on their showing at the Italian GP.
