Reed finds traction to win A1

Sun Valley, ID – Chad Reed started 2008 out with a bang by besting the field in the Monster Energy Supercross Series Opener. Reed, plagued in practice and his heat race by uncharacteristic falls, displayed his uncanny ability to always stay upright during the main event. This, coupled with a first turn pile up involving James Stewart, was enough to secure the win.



Vocal lately about his willingness to take more risks and ride over the line to try to capture a win, Reed ironically used his buttery-smooth style to ensure consistent laps and a minimum of mistakes. Scott rider Tim Ferry rounded out the podium with a third place finish.

Reed enters the next series stop, Chase Field in Phoenix, with the series lead and a three point advantage over his main rival, James Stewart.
