SCOTT Team rocks at the Verbier Xtreme
The legendary freeride event on the Bec des Rosses took place last weekend for the 10th consecutive year. Unfortunately, snow conditions did not allow organizers to place the start at the peak of the mountain and so it was shifted to a ridge further down. The world’s best freeriders were invited to perform in front of the thousands of thrilled spectators. French skier Seb Michaud (SCOTT International Freeski Team) was in top shape and skiied a very impressive line with a lot of drops and a huge backflip. Michaud won the competition in front of fellow French rider Bruno Compagnet (second place) and Chris Davenport (third) from the USA. Seb is one of the most experienced riders in the freeride world and is known for his flowing lines and perfect style. At the awards ceremony, Michaud announced that he will compete again next year in order to defend his title!

Snowboarder Jeremy Jones (SCOTT International Eyewear Team) competed for the first time at the Xtreme in Verbier. He impressed the judges with his unmistakable style, characterized by very high speeds and total control due to his experience on difficult terrain, and went on to win the competition. Second place went to Swiss rider Yavier Rosset, followed by Mitch Tölderer from Austria in third. Jones was thrilled about the event and said he would like to take part again next year in Verbier.

Dirt biker Timo Pritzel (SCOTT International Bike Team) showed his skills with a lot of air time. The audience was amazed by his crazy and reckless tricks, topped by the famous back flip! He took on bigger and bigger gaps between the two ramps and just flew over the streets of Verbier.

There was also a new star of the SCOTT family making his first appearance in Verbier: “Big Ed”, the new Scott Event Truck, was introduced on Friday night and will be a guaranteed star at all SCOTT events.
