Scott Skis Are Back In The U.S.
Scott Wintersport launches back into the U.S. ski market with six models catering to the freeride/freestyle segment. After six successful seasons selling skis in Europe, Scott viewed the 2005-2006 season as the perfect opportunity to break into the U.S. market. Scott skis will be available in a limited release to specialty retailers in New England, the Pacific Northwest, California, Utah and Colorado.
Santiago Pure - Freeride Line
The Santiago Pure is a big stick that's fully prepared to tackle the deepest days, and is armed with a capped swallowtail for stability in big mountain conditions. Featuring sandwich sidewall construction with a cap laminate, the Santiago Pure is available in 188cm/92mm underfoot and 193cm/101mm underfoot.
Santiago Mission- Freeride Line
If you’re in search of a ripping everyday ski, look for the Santiago Mission, a fat ski that will give you confidence in all snow conditions. The Mission also features sandwich sidewall construction with a cap laminate while adding considerably more sidecut than the Pure. The result is a very forgiving and friendly ski that loves to be opened up. The Santiago Mission is available in 168cm/86mm underfoot, 178cm/89mm underfoot and 183cm/90mm underfoot.
Aztec Pro - Freeride Line
If you’re looking for a ski that completely rips up groomed terrain and all other snow conditions, you’re after the Aztec Pro. The Aztec Pro features sandwich sidewall construction with a cap laminate, found in all of Scott's Freeride skis, a similar sidecut to the Santiago Mission, and it houses two sheets of Titanal, the strongest aluminum alloy in the world. Look for the Aztec Pro in the following sizes; 165cm/76mm underfoot, 175cm/78mm underfoot and 185cm/80mm underfoot.
P3, P2, P1 - Freestyle Line
The foundation of the Freestyle line is the P3 twin tip ski. The P3 features the same sandwich sidewall construction traditionally found in race skis, and a wood core. Coming in three sizes, 168cm, 178cm, 184cm and averaging 82mm underfoot, the P3 is just as comfortable in the park as it is on the groomed or in the backcountry. Scott Europe team members Laurent Favre and Jacob Wester have been slaughtering competitions riding the P3 both in Europe and the U.S. The freestyle line is rounded out by smaller versions of the P3; the P2 for teens, and the P1 for younger kids.
