What was the most memorable moment riding your bike?
That’s a tough one, there have been many. If I had to put my finger on one it would be Slope Style at CrankWorx '06. It was my first year on SCOTT and I was loving my bike. The course was perfect and I made it to the Super finals. With the big crowd and all my friends cheering me on, I was just flowing. Also, any day on the trail where you ride all day with your friends.
Funniest moment of your life?
Wow, how do you even separate them? OK, #1 is any time Eric Porter hits a jump for the first time.
What sort of things do you enjoy in the off season or off the Mountain?
I have a golf problem, skiing, minis, stock 50cc. I have a dope track in my backyard, fishing for pike and bass, and more golf.
Why SCOTT?
SCOTT is full of great people, and I have the coolest teammates.
Who do you enjoy riding with, and why?
Aaron Chase and I have been close friends and riding buddy's sinse '96. He makes you push it and try stuff you might not want to try. It takes a few tries but it's always the same deal. I finally do it, and it's just as easy as he said and we laugh.
Where do you call home?
Vermont, but I grew up in South Harwich MASS, a special place to me and I hope to own a house there someday.
Tunes…What do you like to ride/rock out to?
I like the sound of my tires on the trails, but in my truck I like all good classic rock, metal, Bob Marley, and whatever my buddy L. A. F. is shredding.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Five years… Hmmmmmmmm... I would like to keep doing what I'm doing. But way down the road when I'm 50, I would like to retire and join the PGA Champions Tour and travel the world playing golf.
What and where would your perfect day be?
I wake up in my house. All my friends roll into town. We have one of my killer breakfasts. Then go shred dirt jumps all day and street ride 'til 3 in the morning.
If you won a million dollars today, what would you do with it?
Get that dream house, and have a big party.
Front brake vs. No front brake… What’s your take on it?
You need a front brake for real MTB riding, but on your DJ/street whip it's all good.
Films, Comps, etc… Exciting trips?
All the Chain Reaction films, East Side 2, Match, Kranked 7, and more. '07 Teva Games Slope Style 3rd, '06 Teva DJs 1st, '06 DOB jam 1st, '06 Crank Worx 9th. I do many comps and races so to list them all would be silly. All my trips are exciting.
Cats or Dogs?
I have a cat and she is dope. She shreds the mini bike track and makes dirt bike sounds when she takes off running at turbo speeds. She has no litter box - she poops outside.
Hot Dogs or Hamburgers?
Hamburgers.
What are your plans for this season?
I would like to keep building my trails and do more filming on them. Win Teva Slope Style!
