Tour of California - Final Stage

American Levi Leipheimer (Astana) was crowned as champion of the 2008 Amgen Tour of California for the 2nd consecutive year, with a week-long total time of 29 hours, 24 minutes and 32 seconds of cycling across California. George Hincapie (High Road) claimed stage 7 (Santa Clarita-Pasadena, 150 kilometres), who took advantage of the squall of attacks that broke out right from the gun and won an all-out sprint to the finish.



The best SAUNIER DUVAL-SCOTT men in the GC were Iker Camaño (15th) and David Cañada (23rd), both of whom were very aggressive all throughout the race. The yellow squad will be leaving North America satisfied with their results, especially with Luciano Pagliarini´s victory in stage 6, which opened the team´s 2008 account.

Next stop: Comunidad Valenciana
SAUNIER DUVAL-SCOTT will take part in the Vuelta Ciclista Comunidad Valenciana, an UCI 2.1 race starting this Tuesday. Coached by Joxean Fernández "Matxin" and Sabino Angoitia, the "red birds" in Valencia will be José Ángel Gómez Marchante, David de la Fuente, Manuele Mori, Josep Jufré, Alberto Fernández de la Puebla, Aurelien Passeron, Héctor González and Raúl Alarcón.
