Plasma Tri Bike Unveiled

Triathlete Magazine got the first look at SCOTT USA’s new carbon tri bike, the Plasma. Plasma is SCOTT’s new triathlon-specific bike category featuring its highly aerodynamic and super light (880g) carbon frame that utilizes SCOTT’s unique CR1 carbon frame construction process. SCOTT USA did extensive R&D with pro triathlete Cameron Brown and professional athlete Steve Larson, as well as extensive computer modeling and wind tunnel testing.


In the Plasma’s first race, Steve Larson took the win at the Vineman Triathlon July 29 in California, qualifying him for the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii later this year. Expect much more to come from SCOTT USA’s new Plasma category.
