Aaron Olson signs with Saunier Duval-Prodir for '06 Season

Sun Valley, Idaho, September 7, 2005 – Scott USA announced that Aaron Olson has signed with the Saunier Duval – Prodir professional cycling team. The 27 year-old American turned pro in 2001 and has most recently been racing domestically for the Colavita / Sutter Home squad. Olson won the BikeJam/Kelly Cup in Baltimore in May. He also finished second in the Nature Valley Grand Prix stage race and in the Tour de Toona prologue. “I feel as though I am getting stronger with each race, and I am excited to return to Europe and race again”, commented Olson. “I don’t simply want to settle for racing on the team, I want to do well. This is a great opportunity for me to improve and compete on a team that has great management, experienced riders and excellent equipment. The past two years with Colavita / Sutter Home helped me with this transition, and I am thankful for that as well as for the encouragement from Scott Montgomery, my coach Max Testa, and fellow American Chris Horner.” “Now that the season is done I plan on moving to Girona, Spain, which several other North Americans now call home,” Olson added. Olson finished 20th at the San Francisco Grand Prix this past weekend. “I was in the front group the whole race, made a few of the breaks and covered a few attacks. I am happy with my performance overall.”
