SCOTT Teams Up With Formula One Championship Leader for London Triathlon

The current Formula One World Championship leader, Jenson Button, confirmed last week that he will be riding a SCOTT bike for the 2009 London Triathlon in August.

With Jenson being a keen triathlete and London being the world’s largest triathlon, SCOTT are very proud to be helping Jenson achieve his goal of finishing in the top 10% of the 11,000 competitors and raising as much money for charity as possible.

Jenson will be racing for the ‘Make A Wish Foundation’ and with thousands of pounds already donated in sponsorship money, Jenson has been spending his free time between races to train up in the hills of Monaco on his Addict R1 road bike. For the main event itself Jenson will be competing on a custom painted Plasma LTD.

In the run-up to the British Grand Prix Jenson also spent time at Silverstone circuit last week with the BBC news team, riding around the track for an interview with presenter Chris Hollins aboard a SCOTT Addict.

Ed Waterston, UK Marketing Manager for SCOTT Sports:
‘Jenson has been a fan of SCOTT bikes for several years, and we are very excited to be supporting him. For someone with such an appreciation of speed and technology to prefer our bikes is obviously a fantastic accolade.’
