Scott introduces new 2006 Plasma
The PLASMA triathlon bike has been in development for eighteen months, with prototypes being developed in cooperation with former pro triathlete Steve Larsen. This past summer, the PLASMA was tested in the famous Allied Signal wind tunnel in San Diego, California, where it was proven that the PLASMA is both light and extremely aerodynamic.
Most recently, at the 2005 Ironman World Championships, New Zealand’s Cameron Brown took second place overall, equaling his best finish ever in Kona. Brown’s bike split was 12 minutes faster than his previous best Kona Ironman bike leg, and he credited his light and aero PLASMA as being a big part of his excellent result. Photos of Brown’s historic finish as well as development images from PLASMA R&D testing are posted in the photo gallery.
The 2006 PLASMA is scheduled to be at better bike dealers worldwide starting in January, 2006.
