Swisspower's triple triumph

The Swisspower Mountain bike team managed a triple trimuph at the World Cup final in Schladming, thanks to Chrstioph Sauser, Florian Vogel und Ralf Näf. The real heros of the day were Nino Schurer and Florian Vogel though. In the 6th lap (out of 9) they were in the leading group, together with Christoph Sauser. When Florian Vogel’s bike was damaged (rear wheel) they had a lead of more than one minute. Nino decided to give Florian his rear wheel and so Florian was quickly back on the track. In the end, he came in second and achieved his best World Cup result so far. Of course Nino had no chance to finish in a good position after that, but he was certainly the King of Team-aid, and earned lots of sympathy at the finish.

In the allover ranking, Florian Vogel stepped up to the 5th place, while Nino Schurter still won the U23 ranking. The Swisspower Mountainbike Team held onto 4th overall place in the team ranking.

Congratulations!
