Spark makes cover of Mountain Bike Action

Mountain Bike Action, April 2007

The SCOTT Spark 10 is captured in action on the April 2007 issue of Mountain Bike Action.

The MBA 'Wrecking Crew" had great things to say about the Spark 10:

"It feels very lightweight, both when accelerating and laterally when swinging the frame around tight left-right-left type turns."

"... the Spark 10 would respond to an out-of-the-saddle effort with snappy acceleration and still manage to soak up most of the trail chatter."

"Once set, the TracLoc triggers worked easily and were pleasantly ergonomic."

"The Spark's chassis feels laterally rigid under power, even when flailing on the handlebar during a 100-percent, out-of-the-saddle climbing effort. The same can be said for its steering over bumpy, rocky trails at high speed. The sturdy sense that the Scott's carbon chassis gives its rider makes it possible to relax and let the Spark go on downhill sections."

"...the Spark is not intended to be launched on purpose, but it flies level and will stick a landing without a bang...We learned to trust its 2.2-inch Ozon tires on all types of terrain..."

"We descended with the TracLoc lever in the wide-open AT mode, which did a good job of leveling the trail..."

"Hardtail racer types will find it easy to transition to the Spark 10."
