Gigathlon 2007 - Energize Your Life

"Energize Your Life“ is the motto of this year’s Gigathlon, which starts on July 7 in Basel and takes riders through all of Switzerland in seven days. To complete the 1432 kilometers and 26'690 meters of climbing, riders can participate as singles, couples or teams of five.

For the second time now (after the 2002 edition) the Gigathlon, organised by Swiss Olympic, lasts seven days. The start takes place on Saturday, July 7 in Basel while the finish will be in Bern on July 14. This seven-day adventure leads from Basel to Dübendorf, Chur, Interlaken, Leukerbad, Nyon and, last but not least, to Bern. 1432 kilometers and 26,690 meters of climbing have to be managed either on mountain bikes, road bikes, inline skates, swimming or running.

The athletes are accompanied by Scott and in each partner exhibition area and exchange zone Scott offers mountain bike and road bike service. Big Ed, the Scott truck, is based in the exhibition areas where we will also sell the current Bike and Running collections.
