Reed crushes coming off the couch

Chad Reed, discouraged recently by two consecutive losses, flew to Australia last week and spent his time there couch surfing and recharging the batteries. After catching a flight straight to Toronto from Australia for Saturday’s SX race, Reed came in with his batteries full. After shaking off a collision with Kevin Windham in his heat race, Reed started off the main in the best position possible, in front. From there, smooth riding and judicious line choices kept him up front for the entire race. His competitors, on the other hand, had difficulty keeping their rhythm as the mushy Toronto track conditions pulled bikes all over the place. In the end, Reed won the race fairly easily.   With the win, Reed extends his series lead over Kevin Windham to twenty points. The SX series heads to Dallas for the next round.
