Bicycling chooses Contessa Plasma
In the June 2008 issue, Bicycling magazine prepared a 24 page women’s section. Among many women specific equipment, Contessa Plasma was their weapon of choice. Here is what they had to say about the bike:
Designed with input from SCOTT's Contessa pros, such as Ironman triathlete Amanda Lovato. The Plasma will also make an appearance at the Tour de France this year look for the men's model under Saunier Duval- SCOTT riders in the time trials. SCOTT says its aerodynamic tube shaping process, used to craft everything from the flattish top tube to the Freeflow seat tube that shelters the rear wheel from the wind, requires no less than 42 hours of hand craftsmanship. Other aero features include an integrated seat- mast and internally routed down-tube cables.

Parts that ensure a measure of comfort include the Profile T2+ Cobra aero extensions, which are compatible with 31.8 and 26.0 base bars, and the brake levers, which are thick enough that they won't dig into your hands, as some tri-bike levers to. You also get a women specific tri saddle with extra padding at the front, and a pop of pink in back a Little something for the competition to admire as you blaze past.
