SBX ladies tops in Leysin
SCOTT Boardercross riders Tanja Frieden (SUI) and Mellie Francon (SUI), qualified both for the finals at the BX World Cup in Leysin, Switzerland. The two Swiss riders were ahead on the final run and on the way to dominating their home race. Unfortunately, Mellie crashed and Helene Olafson (NOR) and Diane Thermoz L. (FRA) took first and second place respectively. The third place for Tanja was her third podium after a third place at the World Cup in Bad Gastein and a second place at the X-games in Aspen. With the points of her 4th place, Mellie is now leading the overall ranking of the ladies BX World Cup 2008, ahead of Lindsay Jacobellis (USA).
