Freeride World Tour, Tignes: Seb Michaud finishes second, Elyse Saugstad first
Freeride World Tour
On a perfect day, 43 of the world’s best freeriders delivered top class action on the north face of Pramecou for the Nissan Freeride de Tignes, the fourth stop of the Freeride World Tour. Astounded spectators witnessed impressive speed and riders stomping some spectacular cliff drops on fast, packed snow. Only one contest remains to crown the first ever Freeride World Champions, the Nissan O’Neill Xtreme de Verbier in Switzerland next weekend. Elyse Saugstad continued her dominance on tour by winning the comp on the womens side, giving her the overall lead going into the finals.
In Tignes, Argentina's Estanislao Vasiuk (Scott International Team) pulled off a perfect front flip, flying almost 20 metres at the intimidating start of the run to eventually finish ninth, showing the level of competition. Swede Henrik Windstedt and France's Seb Michaud (Scott International Team) have been standing out the entire season on the Freeride World Tour. Today they once again proved to be the most impressive riders, with Windstedt taking first place and Michaud second. Both skiied fast and without an ounce of hesitation through difficult lines, clearing every landing after big drops.
The finals of the tour will be the Nissan O'Neill Xtreme in Verbier (Xtreme Verbier or Freeride World Tour)
