Success for SCOTT Team at Engadin Freeride/Freestyle events

From January 8 - 12, 2003, the Engadin region played host to 47 of the world's top freeskiers and snowboarders at the Engadin Snow Invitational freeriding and quaterpipe competitions. Legendary skier Glen Plake helped out with the commentating and judging while watching impressive runs by Scott USA athletes Loris and Nicolas Falquet. Loris was on track to take home the victory until he injured his arm landing hard after a 12-plus meter cliff jump. In the end Loris placed ninth. Older brother Nicolas had a really nice run and ended up third, right behind the Swedish duo of Sverre Lillequist (first) and Henrik Sjöblom (second).

The quaterpipe challenge was no less exciting for the Scott USA team. Vinzenz Lüps, who has already had an awesome season, won the event, followed by Gian Simmen (second) and Rolf Fledmann (third).
