Motorcycle - For the first time in eight years the winner was not a SCOTT rider! Congratulations to Roma, who has rode a beautiful race! Fortunately, the general ranking shows very good results by SCOTT riders, five of whom placed in the top ten. Second place went to Richard Sainct, who was riding with the "Desert" goggle, followed by Cyril Deprés in third place, who was equipped with the technical clothing from the Anaheim line and Desert and Bevo goggles. Sixth and seventh place went to Meoni and Frétigné, both wearing SCOTT goggles. Frétigné convinced with a nice performance on his Yamaha WR450F 2x2. Flick, in SCOTT clothing and goggles, came in ninth place and was the best ranked amateur rider.

Car - Outstanding victory by Stéphane Peterhansel (FR) - team Mitsubishi Motors

Scott is very proud to announce the victory of Stépahne Peterhansel and his teammate Jean Paul Cottret, who dominated the last Telefonica Dakar race impressively. Second place also went to Mitsubishi Motors drivers, Hiroshi Masuoka and Gilles Picard. In the end, four Mitsubishi Motors teams finished among the top ten. You could say that Stéphane Peterhansel became a legend by winning the Dakar, the most famous endurance Rally, more than once on a motorcycle and now in a car.

SCOTT who has been partner of Mitsubishi Motors for two years by now, is the official sportswear, sunglasses and bag sponsor of the riders. Additionally SCOTT produced a special "Mitsubishi" edition of the Scott bike "Strike" so the team can get in shape and prepare for the season.
