Kahlua Halfpipe Jam

I am not sure what had the most action, the halfpipe or the Pier Street Bar. If you were there, you know what I mean - Get a room!

Alpine Meadows in Lake Tahoe, California hosted the Kahlua Halfpipe Jam. This mountain has a parking lot shuttle pulled by a tractor, yee-haw! Team Manager Jonny A took her for a spin and then proceeded to put in an offer to buy it. Some ideas are good, some ideas are bad.

The halfpipe was a bit windblown making it a halfpipe on one side and a quarter pipe on the other. This made the hits a little difficult and definitely separated the men from the boys. SCOTT USA athlete Shawn Sullivan came in fourth place, but not before landing switch in the flats and splatting on his back so hard the crowd actually moaned with him. If that wasn't enough pain for one day, he decided it was a good idea to drop 20 feet off the chairlift into the pipe. Yes, he pulled it off and the crowd was pleased.

Trolling up and down the pipe was future SCOTT USA junior photographer, PJ Lungren. This little grom is 14-years-old and already has a plan, impressive. Keep your eye out for photos by PJ.

Also kicking it at the competition were SCOTT USA athletes Dash Longe and Andy Spots from Lake Tahoe. Dash came in sixth and Andy was killing it on his board and came in seventh. Keep Tahoe blue!
