The Addict has become a benchmark in carbon construction, and is known as THE bike to ride in the pro peloton. We use IMP technology to produce a superlight road frame. Team Columbia-HTC consistently rides this bike to victory.

Carbon Cable Stops
These are the kind of details that produce a lightweight frame like the new Addict.

Carbon Front Derailleur Mount
Clean, functional and svelte, built with IMP™ technology.
-
SCDS: Scott Carbon Dropout System
Scott has raised the bar by developing the new SCDS carbon dropouts with replaceable aluminium derailleur hanger for the Addict. While aesthetically pleasing, the dropouts also serve to reduce weight and provide a functional, replaceable hanger. The dropouts are highly durable and further reduce the weight of the new Addict.
-
HMX-NET Carbon Fiber
While we already use the proven HMF composite fiber on all our composite high-end bike models, we have improved upon conventional HMF material. This new fiber, which is produced exclusively for Scott, offers 20% more stiffness and is employed on all the areas that need additional rigidity. This new material also allows us to reduce weight and improve riding characteristics. NET stands for Naked External Tubeset; the frame sheds its exterior cosmetic layer, which saves even more weight.

Lightest carbon frame on the Market
Frame 790 grms/1.74 lbs
Frame/integrated seatpost(clamp) 955 grms / 2.1 lbs -
Integrated Carbon Molding Process
Our engineers have developed IMP™, the newest technology applied to carbon production. The toptube, headtube and downtube are produced in a single step using a top-secret process. Our proprietary process allows for lighter construction by removing 11% of the material from the headtube intersection while increasing strength by utilizing high modulus HMF composite fiber, now in combination with our brand new HMX composite fiber. The result of this exclusive combination is a truly unique stiffness/weight ratio. Complimenting the IMP process, our frames benefit from our Naked External Tubeset (NET™) finish, which eliminates the cosmetic carbon layer to shave precious grams.
