- How do I get sponsored by SCOTT?
- See sponsorship section below.
- Why do my lenses crack?
- Excluding misuse or abuse, the main reason lenses crack is due to the use of cleaning products like glass cleaner. The harsh chemicals found in cleaners react with our Lexan lenses, making them brittle, even after just one application. We suggest using mild soapy water and thoroughly rinsing to clean the goggle lens. Be sure to apply Scott's Anti-Fog solution to the inside of the lens after each cleaning to prevent fogging.
- Can I fix the foam on my goggles?
- Unfortunately goggle foam cannot be repaired. The main reasons the foam deteriorates or rips are:
- - The goggles are dragged over the helmet visor, thus ripping the foam
- - The goggles are not cleaned properly
- - Over time, sweat and UV light will break down the foam. This can be reduced by proper cleaning (use mild soapy water, then thoroughly rinse with fresh water) and storing the goggles (keep in a protective bag or case) between uses
- - Goggles get damaged in gear bags because they are not in a protective bag or case.
